Expand Energy Achieves EO100™ Certification Across Its Full Upstream Portfolio, Becomes the Largest Certified Gas Producer
Equitable Origin (EO) is pleased to announce that Expand Energy Corporation has completed EO100™ Standard certification across its full upstream natural gas production portfolio of ~7.3 Bcfe/d, showcasing the company’s dedication to meeting a higher standard of accountability for responsible energy practices. Equitable Origin confirmed this milestone after Expand Energy met the rigorous standards for certification just one year after the company’s merger. With this achievement, Expand Energy Corporation becomes the largest producer by volume of EO100-certified natural gas.
Attaining EO100™ Standard certification for all assets is a testament to the company’s leadership commitment. Expand Energy maintains joint EO100™ and MiQ certifications across its entire portfolio, combining broad environmental and social performance effort with minimization of upstream methane emissions.
The certification process was conducted by the EO-Approved Assessment Body, Responsible Energy Solutions. The certification process was comprehensive, assessing the over 500 indicators covered by the EO100™ Standard. These indicators are aligned with global benchmarks in areas such as corporate governance and ethics; social impacts, human rights, and community engagement; Indigenous Peoples’ Rights; occupational health and safety; fair labor standards; environmental impacts; biodiversity, and climate change.
