EO100™ Technical Supplements for Renewable Energy

Why Renewables need Energy Certification

Faced with the wave of investment and evidence of Indigenous land appropriationunsustainable material sourcing, and rising community opposition, in 2024 Equitable Origin launched new Technical Supplements for Wind and Solar Projects.

Operators seek certification to drive execution of policy commitments down to the site level, to enhance stakeholder relationships and management practices, and secure a premium price or secure offtake for their production.

Today, the EO100™ Renewable Energy Project Standards are a recognized Production Facility label under I-TRACK’s International Renewable Energy Credit (I-REC) system, available to renewables projects and their offtakers in over 60 countries.

Built through multi-stakeholder consultation, EO100 synthesizes international standards, multi-stakeholder initiatives, and industry-specific benchmarks for good practice, layering them into an auditable management system framework with the following pillars:

  • Corporate Governance, Transparency & Ethics

  • Human Rights, Social Impact & Community Development

  • Indigenous Peoples’ Rights

  • Fair Labor & Working Conditions

  • Climate Change, Biodiversity & Environment

At the heart of our system is the Operator’s commitment to continual improvement, which is assessed annually.
