S. Todd Crider, Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Vice-Chair of the Board of Rainforest Foundation US and of the Cyrus Vance Center for International Justice.

Todd Crider is a law partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City and divides his time between his firm’s New York and Sao Paulo offices. He advises clients, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, KKR, APAX and Carlyle in international corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions and project finance. Todd was Founding Chair and is currently Vice-Chair of the Cyrus R. Vance Center of International Justice at the New York City Bar. He is Vice-Chair (and past Chair) of the Board of the Rainforest Foundation US. He has previously served as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee and on the board of other legal services organizations in New York. He has acted as legal advisor to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in the Awas Tingni case, a central precedent under international law relating to the rights of indigenous peoples. Todd received his B.A from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, his License from the Université de Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), where he was a Rotary Scholar, and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Todd speaks Spanish, Portuguese and French.
