Tabea Casique is a leader of the Asheninka people of the Peruvian Amazon, from the Atalya community in Ucayali. As a professional technical nurse, she has always been at the service of her people and supported in the processes of the Indigenous movement from the territory. She was a leader of the Indigenous organization of Atalya-OIRA and is currently part of the board of directors of the Inter-Ethnic Association of the Peruvian Jungle-AIDESEP and has served since 2018 as Coordinator of Education, Science and Technology for COICA.
