EO100TM Program Manager

Heather has over 15 years of experience as an environmental consultant focusing on greenhouse gas climate policy and air quality assessment. At Equitable Origin, she is responsible for managing the EO100 TM certification program for natural gas in North America. Heather is based in Calgary, Alberta.

Prior to joining Equitable Origin, Heather completed technical work including assessing emission control methods for heavy-duty industrial engines and numerous air quality assessments for oil and gas facilities. Past regulatory and policy work includes a long- standing contract with the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) which involved evaluating and comparing GHG policies across multiple jurisdictions, GHG life-cycle assessments and policy cost comparisons. Heather is knowledgeable in current Canadian climate policies such as the federal Clean Fuel Standard (CFS), the British Columbia Clean BC Industry Program (CIIP and CIF) and the Alberta Technology, Innovation and Emission Reduction (TIER) regulation. Through CAPP contract work, Heather has worked extensively with oil and gas industry colleagues and government to inform and evaluate effective climate policy.

Heather holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta (APEGA). Areas of interest and expertise: climate policy analysis; greenhouse gas lifecycle assessments; diplomacy and bridging the gap between different stakeholder viewpoints; environmental, social and governance standards; air emission control and assessment.
